BRIAN FRIEL’S “FAITH HEALER”
was Starving Artist’s first full-length theater production staged in May, 2011 for 8 performances at The Duke Energy Theater in Uptown Charlotte.
About the Play:
Faith Healer consists of three characters reflecting on the twenty years they spent together travelling the countryside of Scotland and Wales.
Frank, the faith healer, Grace, his wife, and Teddy, his booking agent, each share the events that shaped their time together.
Told with depth, humor, contradiction, and heart, Friel’s play examines the lenses we each create to view the few vital and memorable events that occur in every life.
Faith Healer exposes the fragility of truth and the flexibility of memory.
